Must See Sessions
Day one of Market Focus puts the spotlight firmly on the technologies needed to scale optical connectivity for the AI era.
The morning programme explores scale-up and scale-out networking, optical circuit switching, CPO and NPO, 1600G+ components, advanced cooling and AI interconnects, with speakers from companies including Acacia, Cignal AI, Ciena, Huawei, Nokia, Coherent, Corning and Meta.
The afternoon continues with a deep dive into optical interconnect evolution, AI deployments, NVIDIA Spectrum-X, next-generation fibre, near-packaged optics and connectivity beyond 1.6T, before closing with a panel discussion on XPO and system scaling.

Tomorrow at ECOC
Tuesday 22 September
Day two at ECOC is packed with insight into the technologies driving the next generation of AI infrastructure and optical connectivity.
Market Focus gets underway with a strong focus on components, ICs, PICs and fibre, including sessions exploring the optical future of AI infrastructure, the technologies that could shape connectivity beyond 1.6T, co-packaged optics, high-volume photonics packaging, silicon photonics and laser innovation.
In the afternoon, the focus shifts to new and emerging technologies, with sessions covering CPO, optical architectures for next-generation Ethernet, near-packaged optics and high-density interconnects, followed by a panel examining the realities of AI interconnect scaling beyond 1.6T.
Meanwhile, Product Focus brings a closer look at the latest developments in photonic testing and high-volume manufacturing, including sessions on E-PIC and CPO testing. The Demo Zone also offers the chance to see cutting-edge technology in action, with live demonstrations running between 11:00 – 12:30.
