SAES and SURON have jointly designed and put to market the ZeDry® Lids for hermetic and semi-hermetic optoelectronics and microelectronics packaging. They consist of a metal lid, coated with a solventless, thermally cured and reversible getter layer, engineered for high capacity moisture, hydrogen or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) uptake. ZeDry Lids are in line with our customers’ specific design, plating layers and with the getter coating size optimized according to the amount of gases to be absorbed. The high decomposition temperature of the getter assures full compatibility with seam or laser sealing, without any negative effects on its functional properties.
