Next-Generation 1.5 µm High-Power Laser Solutions with VLMA Technology

Bktel and XLIM have achieved a breakthrough in 1.5 µm fiber laser and amplifier performances with their new VLMA erbium-doped fibers. These fibers enable multi-millijoule energies with ns range pulse widths, kilowatt-class peak powers, and up to 100W CW across the full 1.5 µm band, all with single-mode output.
Demonstrated results include 40 W CW with >25 dB gain (MOPA, M² = 1.1), 150 kW peak power at 25 kHz/2.3 ns (MOPA), and 1.8 mJ at 1 kHz/30 ns (Q-switch).
