The requirement to switch polarised light in fibre optic test stations is increasing. Santec have addressed this need with its new low loss, highly repeatable optical switch, OSX-100.
OSX-100 achieves a high PER >23 dB. It operates from 1250 to 1670 nm and has excellent repeatability of ± 0.005 dB. Insertion loss is < 1.0 dB. The instrument is provided as standard with 4 to 32 channels and with a choice of SC or FC connectors. Higher channel counts and customised fibre types are available upon request.
The OSX-100 is easy to incorporate into any test setup with SCPI commands via USB or Ethernet. A front-panel touchscreen is available as an option.
