The need for high-speed communications in space, reaching hundreds of Gbit/s creates an opportunity that can be addressed by photonics-based solutions. iXblue has a track-record of successful missions embarking its “flight proven” components, such as: optical LiNbO3 modulators, radiation hardened fibers and their matching FBGs, fiber sources. iXblue can provide integrated solutions such as low noise optical amplifiers, optical channel emitter/receiver, Multiplexer/Demultiplexer and other micro-optics assembly. Finally, iXblue can provide fully integrated transceivers for satellites constellations, together with ModBox terminals and atomic clocks for the associated ground base stations.
