The main focus areas of the cluster are optical communications and sensoring as well as photonics, micro electronics and quantum technologies. More than 400 optics and photonics companies are located in Berlin and Brandenburg.
Together with a large number of highly diversified SMEs and about 35 research institutions, the German Capital Region is one of Europe‘s leading sites for optics and photonics.
