LASER COMPONENTS offers fibreoptic acoustic modulators (AOM), which provides a solution for high on/off fast amplitude modulation of laser light transmitting through a fibre with a convenient 0-5V control signal.
The modulator intrinsically produces a positive wavelength frequency shift, a negative shift can be requested if required. AOM modulators are often used in LiDAR and pulsed fibre laser amplifiers.
