The 25 Gbps solution utilizes Bifrost’s 25 Gbps Transceiver PIC. Together with Semtech’s GN2146 CDR Bifrost’s QC Receiver enables 40 km reach at 25 Gbps in the C-band and is SFP 28/56 compatible. The transceiver has lower cost and power consumption than coherent solutions and easy upgrades from 10 Gbps to 25 Gbps in DWDM networks. The QC technology enables near-zero latency and longer reach due to the DSP-free analog dispersion compensation. SFPs are produced at Estel in Belgium and Bifrost’s headquarter is in Denmark.
