Automated 3D printing of beam-shaping micro-optics on optical fibers
Stand 1410
10th June 2026
3D printing micro-optics directly on optical fiber facets enables compact optical systems with improved coupling efficiency and beam shaping, without additional assembly steps. With Quantum X align, Nanoscribe combines automated fiber core detection and aligned 3D printing with alignment accuracy down to 500 nm, enabling scalable fabrication of fiber-based micro-optics for optical communications, sensing, and photonic integration.
Powered by Nanoscribe’s 3D printing by 2GL® technology, the system delivers high optical quality and shape fidelity while reducing production times. Freeform and refractive-diffractive micro-optics can be fabricated automatically on up to 4 × 8 fibers in a single print job.
