Anritsu has launched the industry’s first multicore fiber evaluation solution, the Multi Channel Fiber Tester MT9100A. Based on a multi-channel OTDR method developed with Tohoku University, the solution synchronizes four OTDR channels to measure transmission loss, return loss, and inter-core crosstalk distribution along the fiber. It supports R&D optimisation and high-speed manufacturing inspection, helping advance next-generation high-capacity optical networks needed for AI and cloud-driven infrastructure.
