Next generation 800G and 1.6T networks will rely on 200 Gb/s lanes to increase capacity and reduce both power consumption and cost. The Keysight N1000A mainframe and N1030 or N1032 wide bandwidth optical channels provide a Digital Communications Analyzer (DCA) easily configured as a reference receiver to provide the only system available today to accurately characterize TDECQ performance for 100 Gbaud PAM4 optical signals. The M8199B Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) provides high-voltage wide-bandwidth signals to drive these transmitters. Combined, the AWG and DCA can emulate digital signal processing techniques to achieve the highest performance from optical transmitters.
