NEW – LOADING/UNLOADING DURING THE BUILD UP AND BREAKDOWN

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU INFORM YOUR STAND BUILDER ONCE APPOINTED
Due to the location of the RDS a traffic system will be in place during the build-up and breakdown of the event. This will be organised by our official freight forwarding contractor GT Exhibitions. All vehicles delivering directly to the RDS must apply for a time slot with GT Exhibitions and all vehicles over 3.5 ton MUST be unloaded by them.

FURNITURE

We advise that you order your furniture as soon as possible if you wish to have a choice of all the items online.

The deadline date is 24th August 2019 – this includes an early booking discount. After the date stated the discount will not apply. Please note there is a very limited stock onsite at the event and is sold on a first come, first serve basis.

NEW – WASTE BIN – SPACE ONLY STANDS – ABOVE 17SQM

All large space only stands must order a waste cart and is a mandatory regulation. Based on size (any stand above 17sqm) and the stand design, you will be automatically invoiced by the Cleaning Company who will place an order for a waste cart. The additional cost will be 75 euros.

ECOC Conference Tickets – available now at the Conference Hub

This year’s conference socials include organised trips to the Guinness Storehouse, The Book of Kells and Old Library and the historic Round Room at The Mansion House. If you’re interested in attending the conference or any of the social events, come and visit us at the Conference Hub, located between the RDS and Intercontinental Hotel, to purchase your tickets and gain access to Europe’s largest conference in optical communication.

NEW – BADGE SCANNER APP

This year, we are pleased to announce a new opportunity to collect leads via the new badge scanning app. Provided by our official registration partner, Circdata, you can now order the badge scanner app to use on your own device, scan the QR badge codes and access leads instantly, enabling you to make the most of your investment and measure the success of the show.

Alternatively, you can rent a badge scanner device to use during the show. Order and set up your chosen method via your personalised exhibitor platform – FusionExhibit

NEW – EXHIBITOR LOUNGE

We are pleased to announce the introduction of our Exhibitor Lounge at this year’s event.  Offering tea, coffee and light refreshments, the lounge will be open:
Monday 23rd Sept – 08:30 – 16:00
Tuesday 24th Sept – 08:30 – 16:00
Wednesday 25th Sept – 08:30 – 13:00

You can find the Exhibitor Lounge in the Landsdown Suite, on the Upper Balcony of Hall 1.

ACCOMMODATION FOR ECOC EXHIBITORS

The RDS is located in Ballsbridge, close to the centre of the city.

We are delighted to confirm MICE Concierge Ltd as our trusted official accommodation and concierge service for ECOC 2019.

We do advise you to book through the official channel; As our trusted supplier, they have exclusive accommodation rates at all surrounding hotels and will ensure you receive the best experience and the best rates.

MICE Concierge will also be providing an enhanced service such as pre-bookable airport transfers, local restaurant reservations, leisure activities and tours, to help ensure you are well looked after during your stay in Dublin.

The Exhibitor A-Z Directory is one of the most visited pages of the website, used all year round it is the only online directory for the optical communications community – take a few minutes to log into your account and check your free company profile is up to date or enhance your profile by upgrading to a highlighted entry (contact sales@ecocexhibition.com for more details).

Your company profile from 2018 has been automatically transferred over to the 2019 website. You can make changes and update your profile in the ‘My Account’ section. All exhibitors also need to complete the Market Sector section of your company profile. Please let us know of any companies that are sharing your stand or who you are representing. You can add sharing companies via the website under the ‘Stands’ section. All sharing companies listed are entitled to a 60-word directory entry free of charge.

EXHIBITOR SERVICES

The information and order forms for ECOC Exhibition are now live and available to access online https://www.ecocexhibition.com/exhibit/exhibitor-services/

All contracted exhibiting companies have been notified via email for both exhibitor badges and for ordering services.

If you have not received your email please contact the Operations Managers.

EXHIBITION OPENING TIMES

The exhibition runs from 23-25 September 2019. Exhibition opening times are:
Monday 23 September          0930 – 1700
Tuesday 24 September         0930 – 1700
Wednesday 25 September    0930 – 1600

Please Note: Exhibitors can ONLY access the halls from 8am each morning during the exhibition days and can only remain until the closing of the hall at 1730 hrs. Exhibitors must remain within their own stand area and are not permitted to walk around the exhibition before the show opens.

TIMETABLE OF BUILD UP, EXHIBITION AND BREAKDOWN

BUILD UP

  • Friday 20 September – 0800 – 2200  space only stands – Official contractor badges must be worn at all times
  • Saturday 21 September – 0800 – 2200  space only stands – Official contractor badges must be worn at all times
  • Sunday 22 September – 0800 – 2100 space only and shell scheme – Official contractor badges or exhibitor badges to be worn at all times

Build up through the night is NOT possible

These times must be adhered to.

Please note:  On Sunday 22nd September the aisles must be clear by 1400 hrs, the building of your stand can commence until 2100hrs but only within the perimeter of your stand.

BREAKDOWN

  • Wednesday 25 September: 1600 – 1630 – official contractor GT Exhibitions to commence return of empties1630 – 0000 – Loading doors open for all other contractor/empties
  • Thursday 26 September – 0800 – 1500

Please ensure that contractors are issued with contractor badges for breakdown.

THE RETURN OF EMPTY CASES WILL COMMENCE AFTER THE EXHIBITION HAS CLOSED. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT MAKE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE EXHIBITION.  

ITEMS MAY BE CARRIED OUT OF THE HALL TO YOUR VEHICLE.  ARRANGEMENTS FOR OUTBOUND SHIPMENTS SHOULD BE MADE WITH OUR FREIGHT FORWARDING CONTRACTOR, GT EXHIBITIONS (REFER TO HANDLING OF EXHIBITS FOR FURTHER INFORMATION).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Any exhibitors breaking down or packing exhibits before the official closing time of 1600hrs on Wednesday 25th September will forfeit priority ranking booking slots for the following year.

It is forbidden to breakdown or pack away exhibits before the official closing time and under no circumstances can stand contractors access the hall prior to 1600hrs.

Under no circumstances will exhibitors, or their agents be allowed to remain on site after the stated times.  A penalty charge will be enforced if necessary.  During the dismantling period. The RDS cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings and/or stand materials. We therefore kindly request that you remove any personal belongings and/or materials on Wednesday 25th September 2019 within 1 hour after the closing of the show. After this time we will start dismantling the stands.

MARKET FOCUS 2019 – Call for Speakers – timetable coming soon

Once again, ECOC will hold free Market Focus sessions. These sessions will be held in the exhibition hall and are designed to allow all visitors/attendees to get the big picture on the commercial and technology drivers shaping a new era of growth across all levels of the optical communications supply chain.

Our Call for Speakers is now closed and the session timetable will be launched on the website in the coming weeks.

CTTS SHORT COURSES

The Training Zone gives you the chance to cover some of the key techniques of fibre optic testing and fusion splicing. Run in conjunction with CTTS, our expert training team bring their years of industry experience to ECOC to share their knowledge. Small group sizes mean you get more one to one support and take away new skills that you can put to use back at your workplace. Sessions were fully booked in 2018, so make sure you secure your space early.

 

DISPLAY YOUR PRODUCTS FREE OF CHARGE IN THE FTTX CENTRE

The FTTx Centre features eleven FTTx Zones and exhibitors can display products free of charge. If you have a new or existing product you would like to feature in the FTTx Centre, please complete the entry form and return to michelle.dampier@nexusmediaevents.com by Friday 17th August to be eligible for consideration.
